No doubt this topic has occured before and if it has my bad <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> but do you think that the new ff game will be as succesful as the rest, this is the first time a FF game has returned to the same characters, with the exception of one guy in this new FFX-2 game the old cast from FFX has re-appeared, The plot also isnt' apparently as good because of a more linear and mission based stratergy adopted by Square...I personally think a new tale and characters would be a better choice, FFX showed Yuna as more of a quiet type and careful person but now in FFX-2 she is wearing short skirts and flashing at the chance, Contridiction or A New Look on how FF Will become?

ok well i hope that it will do brilliantly (which is what i hope for all FF releases coz that means they bring out more). i guess u have to look at what Square are doing here is evolving and to keep the public interested they have chosen a different path to normal. take FFXI for xample...an online game-now thats new aswell.
all they're doin is trying to progress in an ever-changing gaming industry. if it works, it works and they're happy but if it doesn't, well then they lose money and write it off as a failure not to be tried again. they gotta try new stuf in order to adapt and keep FF going. they aren't gonna churn out the same stuf over and over.
but by releasing such stuf is to keep people on their toes-its cool.

and i heard that X-2 was gonna be very UN-linear <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> but whatever the situtaion, u can wait until XII comes out for a new story and characters coz i wanna know if Yuna+Tidus re-unite <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

The battle system in FF X-2 is a try out, and the missions ARE linear from what I've heard
and they changed the chars a bit, but it's mostly a huge try out I think cuz u can jump and climb on the world map aswel
and they (most fans) hope it wont be a Yuna Raider instead of a Final Fantasy
