what up guys? ok here it is, i have been playing vice city for a while now, i have gottin every package done every rampage...well i've done EVERYTHING but 1 thing. i am at 99% on the stats and the ONLY thing that is blank is "feed the fishes". now i have read that all you have to do is hit someone into the water and let them die, BUT i have done that MANY MANY times with no results <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> I have NEVER used ANY cheats so there should be no reason why it is not working UNLESS there is somthing i don't know. btw i have also done that beach ball off the top of your head thing as well so i know thats not it. if ANY of you have ANY sugestions to helping me get that final 1% I will forever be greatfull!! thank you

It's hard for me to believe that after all that gameplay you never once fell into the water. That's what feeding the fishes means. Just jump in then jump for joy cause you got 100%! Unless you saved at the ice cream factory or something and messed up your stats like I did.

ok, i didn't know that it had to be Tommy that dies in the water to "feed the fishes" i thought it you had to hit someone else in, and no i always tried not to go in the water b/c i preaty much always had a [censored] load of ammo that i didn't want to lose. but now that i used the amry heli to get $999,999,999 then i guess it doesn't matter if i have to buy my ammo again :-p now what is this about not saving at the ice cream factory? yes i have saved there does that mean that i screwed myself?

ok i killed myslef by jumping in the water and i have now feed the fishes 1 time BUT it still says %99 <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> does this mean that by saving at the ice cream factory screwed me up for getting %100?

Yes, saving at the ice cream factory messes up your chances at getting 100%. I didn't know about the "ice cream factory curse" and I had to do it all over again. It only let me have 99%, just to tease me. Chances are, if you did all the jumps, rampages, hidden packages, races, everything and still end up with 99%, you must've saved somewhere wrong and will have to do it all over again.

But be sure to check a list online to see if you've forgotten something.

This save thing kept happening to me so in all, I've gotten 99% about 4 times, and finally when I saved safely at only a few select places,on my fifth try I got 100%.

I guess having 99% or 100% is good because no lie I swear I beat the game at about 42%. Or else I was at 42% when the final missions opened. The first time I just wanted to beat the game. This time I am aiming for a higher percentage. I beat vice city without doing the following things.

Didn't finish last 3 Haiten Missions
Didn't finish final Cuban Mission
Found 72 Hidden Packages
Completed only 32 Rampages
Did no insane stunts, firetruck mission, or got above Vigalante level 3

What else didn't I do..Oh yeah none of the street races, Cone Crazy, or the races at Hyman

As a matter of fact, I dont' think I had even finished Phil's missions or the Biker Missions when I beat the game. Im pretty sure of that, nor had I finished Love Fist

Frankly, I was suprised that the game let me open the final missions.

What I had did was I had owned all of the businesses and had completed the missions for all of the businesses except the boat yard, so I guess that is what opened the last missions.

Ya know, I was just in a rush to beat the game thinking something spectacular was going to happen, but nothing really did.

Maybe if I get 100% something cooler will happen.

what is the most difficult mission ever?
