We've been through a really cold spell and the downstairs heat went out. I spent some time in my warm office and decided to go through some old letters, really old letters. As I reviewed one batch I came across a letter which had lots of good information. It pays to go back over old information. You never know what you might have that didn't make sense long ago but now after years of research some of those tidbits make more sense.

Hi Angie, going back over old letters can have many advantages. Were those letters from friends or family? Joy

As a genealogist I started writing letters to distant relatives or others working on families I was interested in finding out about. I have the letters but need to review them as they told stories they knew about our common ancestors.
