Female Environmentalists Who Made an Impact

How do you help the environment? I recycle and in general try to make great choices that help, not hurt, the environment. For example, I work 100% from home so I don't need to drive my car unnecessarily.

I've been into recycling my whole life. I have friends whose children were collecting plastic wrap/bags for a buddy bench so I gather what I can to assist. I'm into composting too.
