Times flies even when you're not having fun and when you're not doing much of anything. My own genealogy work has been put on the back burner. Sometimes you can accomplish more when you are busy. When you have the to do list you stay focused. Chasing BSOs (bright shiny objects) often takes you to places where you spend lots of time but do not accomplish anything. I'm the registrar for a DAR chapter and knee deep in preparing applications. But even here, I just can't seem to push myself. I'm not normally a procrastinator but this summer has been one of procrastination.
