"Be Natural: The Untold Story of Alice Guy-Blache" is finally hitting US theaters this month. It opens on April 19th in LA, April 26th in NYC, and will then play nationwide. Writer-director Pamela Green has been screening her documentary at film fests since last May, when "Be Natural" debuted at Cannes.

Guy-Blache was a writer, director, and producer who worked in both France and the US. Her filmmaking career spanned the years 1896 - 1920. Unfortunately, when she died in 1968 Guy-Blache was a forgotten figure. Some of her work has survived and she is finally getting her due as one of the innovators of narrative cinema. You can check out some film clips on YouTube and also the trailer for "Be Natural". Be Natural: The Untold Story of Alice Guy-Blache Trailer
