The International Astronomical Union (IAU) specifically listed
five dwarf planets. It correctly shows Pluto slightly larger than Eris. In many images you'll see Eris slightly bigger. That's because it was at first thought that Eris was larger. Pluto's atmosphere made it difficult to calculate the dwarf planet's size. Finally, the
New Horizons fly-by of Pluto was able to provide the data needed. (The difference is very small, maybe about thirty miles.)
