Robert Mitchum was born exactly 100 years ago today. Turner Classic Movies is featuring Mitchum all day to celebrate. Right now, Mitchum, Jane Russell, and Vincent Price are onscreen in "His Kind of Woman". Next up is the film noir "Angel Face" co-starring Jean Simmons.
"Film Comment" magazine is also honoring Mitchum on his one-hundred-year anniversary. The latest issue features an essay on Mitchum and two large black-and-white stills from "Macao" and "His Kind of Woman".

An Irish nun, played by Deborah Kerr, is the only other inhabitant.
