Doctors were helping 69% of male trauma patients - but only 55% of female trauma patients - handle blood clots properly. The doctors weren't doing it on purpose. It was all subconscious bias that they have about women's health.
Once the doctors were forced to use a checklist - POOF - everyone was helped equally. But without the checklist, they were letting those biasses impact their job.
