When my sister-in-law died last year, we inherited her two kittens, an old cat, and her cockatiel. Unbeknownst to us, the old cat had terminal kidney disease and crossed the Rainbow Bridge within a year.
Honestly, I was not crazy about the idea of kittens, since our old Sissie cat loved to be a single cat. Now, I cannot imagine life without them. Star is the most gorgeous shaded Persian that ever walked. She is also a snuggler and an affectionate cat. Tiny little Bandit, aka Lord Busterdon, is the sweetest Himalayan boy. He is so playful with our newest kitten, Fiona. Fiona, who I found before Thanksgiving, is just a purring, nibbling bundle of energy. And Sissie, still hates having all of these cats destroy the peace of her house, but I think that she is beginning to get used to them.
