Loved the article. I chuckled because my hubby and I were discussing the same issue a few weeks back.
In essence it was quite an undertaking for the women of that era but it shows the true grit and survival instincts that are innate in women
We can almost say that there would have been nothing for the soldiers to come home to if it were not for the women
