Do you have one? A place or space to just be you and do the things you like?
That's what this article is all about.

As a teen, you need a space to call your own. It may be a room, a corner, or even a desk, but it’s yours and it’s important. Start the new year by finding your space, and making it work just for you!

I also reviewed and set up my devices to create them as a space of my own. I have all of my ebooks in one place, as well as my art!

I still don't have a space of my own even though I am nearing 20. I would like to have a place where I can proudly say that it's mine but I'm still thinking about what to buy and place around my small bedroom. Any ideas for a book lover like me, Michelle?

Hi Styxx!

I have had many small places to make my own. What I love - plastic milk crates. I have found some at grocery stores who were willing to let me have a couple, and I have also found pretty colored ones for sale at grocery stores. They make great book cases. I have also collaged sturdy cardboard boxes to keep my books lined up in!

What kinds of books do you like to read?

Thank you for your question and post!

Chel

Hi, Chel!

Plastic milk crates? That's a nice idea. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for giving me that thought to think on. Anyway, the books I mostly read are fanfiction and romance. Time travel is also on the list.

You just gave me an idea about something to add in my room. I thank you again for being so welcoming to a newbie like me. :))

Regards,
Styxx

Hi Styxx!

Thank you for posting in my forum! And yes, WELCOME!!!

I used to write fan fiction. I still read it now and again.

Right now, I read a lot of young adult books and picture books since I love to illustrate.

How is your room coming along?

I hope you have a great day!

Chel

I just made the frame of my mirror and the outcome is so awesome. It really fits my personality and the great thing about it is that I just made it yesterday by myself! I also made a shelf using the milk crates that you suggested...it seems to be stable enough and I am quite excited to use it.

YA books? What are you reading right now? I'm going to read Happily Ever Ninja by Penny Reid. It's the fifth book in the series and I'm looking forward to it.

Styxx ^_^

You sound very creative and artsy! I am so happy the milk crate idea worked out. I was afraid you would think I was crazy for suggesting it!

Right now, I'm reading as many picture books as I can to study illustration techniques and page layouts. I am reading a series of vintage mystery books I have about a young girl named Connie Blair. I just finished Clue in Blue, and will start Riddle in Red tonight! smile

Because of your suggestion, I made a wonderful piece of furniture. Thanks!

Connie Blair? I'll google that later. Hope you have fun reading those books.
