My genealogy group transcribed Marriage Register #1 dated 1855 through 1895. It took us four months. Now we need to proofread the data and decide how to publish it. It is currently in an Excel spreadsheet.

The questions are should we prepare an index and publish? Should it be published completely with an index? Should it be an online database and if so, how do we do that?

The demographic information spanning 40 years is interesting: where the parties were born, their ages at the time of marriage, the occupation of the grooms, and the names of the ministers or persons performing the marriage.

HI. If you were to print it about how many pages would it be. Would it be enough to do as a book. I think there are places or people like Craig Scott with Heritage Books that would make it as a book for you... Or you can do as a blog and post it. A local society might produce it for you and get a percentage of the costs when they sell.

Keep us updated on how it goes.

First things, first, we need to proof read it. I would like a database as well as a possible printout which might e put into book form with an index.

We haven't worked on this project in a couple of weeks now. I sure hope life calms down in 2016. I have lined up someone who is willing to proofread the database for us.
