Yesterday it was sunny and windy.
At night it was raining off/on and windy.
When I went to bed it was raining and windy.
When I got up it was mostly cloudy and windy.

I am in the Northeastern part United States. It rained all night long. This morning it is very foggy. However, I see the sun peeking through the clouds and it is going to be a warm day.

At night it was windy.
When I went to bed it was windy.
When I got up it was partly cloudy and windy.

It was very foggy in London and in much of England. Drivers warned of poor visibility, lots of flights cancelled. Fortunately, trains not affected and I've traveled to the west of Britain and mid Wales has been blue skies and sunshine all the way.

Pleasant and sunny this morning, but has got gradually overcast. When I was out I was surprised to see the children all leaving school so late. But it turned out to be the usual time - just that with the overcast sky and turning the clocks back (dumb idea!), it seemed much later.
