Do you have any favorite canceled shows you wish they would bring back?

My list includes:

I am glad that Netflix brought Longmire back. I was missing it in advance! Still miss Mentalist and Lie to Me.

Covert Affairs - we loved that show & it ended abruptly with no closure! Forever was good too.

@Dianne: I don't think Monk & In Plain Site were cancelled - the series just ended.

My daughter and I were just discussing how we loved the first season of "The Nine Lives of Chloe King." It got cancelled, no closure!!

Some series I loved, and they did end with closure - I just wish they would have kept going - Like White Collar. I LOVED that show!

But when there's no closure - I feel the pain! LOL!!!

Firefly
The Gates (corny, but I enjoyed it)
V (the visitors - an alien series)

I see that Heros is back on as Heros: Reborn. I've recorded it but haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

Sadhana, In my mind Monk and In Plain Site should have continued. I remember the last season when they started having all those famous guest stars on Monk and I remember reading that it was supposed to be sure sign that the network is desperate. :-)
Deanna, I agree that it's painful when there isn't any closer. I've watched several "new to me" series on Netflix only to find that they were actually no longer on. :-(

Oh, remember the Adventures of Brisco County Jr.? That was in the early 90s. I LOVED that show - it was so funny smile

Deanna, I'm going to show my age but I miss Variety Shows. The live broadcasts of Ed Sullivan, Dean Martin, Carol Burnett, which featured current entertainment were wonderful. I know there are videos but there is no variety and we do not get to see new artists. I think that is one reason why artists often are so outlandish. In order to make a name for themselves the need publicity. These shows often provided the publicity and a great venue.

In regards to Monk, the cast felt it was time to move on & they felt that doing the show was really hard after losing Stanley Kamel (Dr. Kroger). So it was a unanimous decision by cast & crew. They felt it was better to go out on top.

In Plain Site: Mary had a baby in real life & wanted to leave - it was her 3rd baby & she decided to spend time with her family. No Mary, no show really - so it ended. I think the actress who played Mary has been out of the biz since then.

But Monk was fantastic, great show & sad when it ended :-(

I LOVE Monk! Coincidentally, I was just watching a couple of last-season episodes last night. I loved Sharona in the first season (was she in the second one too?) and missed her when she left, but Natalie is so much fun that some of my favorite episodes are the ones with her in it. And Randy – who couldn’t love that kid? smile

Sadhana, I agree things weren’t the same after Dr. Kroger’s death, and it was probably for the best that the show ended. Some of the mysteries started to get too easy to solve as well, or worse: too far-fetched.
