I've been on this forum for a few months (i think) and haven't met many people. However, that's not why i came to this forum. Technically, this is a computer gaming forum, and not a computer dating forum. Basically that means that if anyone has any questions/info about computer games, they can come here and post. Posting anything otherwise is considered S.P.A.M. (Short Pointless Annoying Messages). I personally would like to see less spam and more posts about computer games. MSN messenger, ICQ, AIM, Yahoo, etc. are all PM messaging systems that let you talk to each other. USE THEM.

Now, before you get yer panties all in a knot and defend yourself 'til you're blue in the face, put yourself in a newbie's shoes. If i were new and came into this forum as it stands now, i personally would be turned off by the amount of idle chit-chat that goes on in this particular forum. What that would tell me is that whatever computer game question i had probably would go unanswered. Either that or it would be lost in a flood of posts, which means i would have to take more time out of my busy day to search through pages to find my post and then read it. It may not sound like too much trouble for you young ones here that have all the time in the world; but for people like myself who are working to earn a living and trying to balance your time for work, school, friends, and family, it can get a little overwhelming. Sometimes there aren't enough hours in the day to get evrything done. And having to take the mere minutes it takes to look through everything, well, i could be doing other things with my time. Like paying bills, balancing my checkbook, doing laundry, making doctor's appointments and all the fun stuff that you have to do in the real world. It sucks, but that's life.

Plus, i think it's just common courtesy to respect the rules that the forum admins have set here. If this were a forum for idle chit-chat, this issue would have never come up. However, it's not a forum for idle chit-chat and should be respected as such.

so, YES, the spam is a problem. but thanx to Gerb 4 taking measures 2 fix it.

and while the spam doesnt effect me personally, i for one am aware of the fact others are struggling to have their questions answerd. consideration...its something ppl usually have for each other.
