Hi Everyone,
This is a limerick I wrote last year for it being the year of Gender Parity. Sadly, in many circles we still have to laugh at that concept as things just seem to take a very long time to change.
Anyway this was a competition entry but it was not placed, still I had fun writing it.
When you read 2133 say 'twenty one thirty three' because that way it will make sense, ta.

Limerick for 2016 Year of Gender Parity.
When discussing female gender parity
It’s a matter of global hilarity,
Only by year 2133
Will we, that’s you and me
Be equal, despite current laxity.
It could only have been men on this committee
Who said “Parity? Oh now that is witty!â€
What women must know
Is the answer is no
For years yet, we’ll be kings, more’s your pity!
Can the girls wait that long I wonder?
It certainly is something to ponder
For Nelly and Grace
Will win this race
And leave the boys standing out yonder.
2133? You’ll be gone, you’ll be dead
So what! Who cares? dear Fred said
But I think it is Frieda
Who’ll then be the leader
Truth be told, we’re already ahead!
The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world you know
And it matters not where on this earth that you go
So men, wake up fast!
Inequality will not last!
Give up now or you’ll reap what you sow.

For anyone interested in the subject, Dr. Google has a lot to say about it.
Cheers now
