Took a shuttle bus from the ship into Rouen and walked around the town for a about an hour and a half. Lovely place with several streets of really old half-timbered buildings and a very old astronomical clock. Monet used to like to paint the cathedral. There's a monument to Joan of Arc who was executed in Rouen.

Yesterday I went to bed at 21:33 and got up at 9:59. I watched Rafael Nadal at the Mutua Madrid Open (tv), took a walk, watched Real Time at 15:30, did something for my dad online (registered his new tires) and watched the May 6 episode of The Daily Show on the internet. It was an average night and an horrible day.

I forgot to mention that I also did some cleaning.

We spent a lot of today sailing down the Seine from Rouen. So I didn't do a whole lot, except watch the scenery (great!) go by from various vantage points. Since I'm going home tomorrow, I'm trying to finish the book I'm reading, Andrew O'Hagan's The Illuminations. A lazy day except for strolling around the promenade deck. I'm saving my packing for tomorrow morning. We're changing time zones so I have an extra hour then.

While you were sailing down the Seine I was scrubbing the woodwork on my deck! I'm glad you're having a great time. I'm hoping to take a trip like yours next year.

Angie, I hope you do get to take the trip. It's been great. Of course, it doesn't really measure up to the delights of scrubbing woodwork, but sometimes you gotta make do.

I guess it would have sounded better had I said I was "swabbing the deck."

Ha! Swabbing the deck. Very important. But I have to admit that I rather prefer that it's done by someone else! I do like being a lady of leisure now. Hurrah for the wonderful crew.

I worked on my author site for my fiction. Got the intro to chapter nine of my book underway. I'll finish that up and hopefully be ready to tackle chapter ten.

Good Morning I am taking my elderly aunt to the doctor for a check up. Then I've got phone calls to make, on behalf of my mom, who has dementia.

I have to admit, I have been pretty stressed out with the care of two elderly relatives. I do finally have support in place, so now I have to get a handle finances for the two of them also.

What I'd LOVE to get done today - and maybe I just need to write it on my to-do list, is:
Prep reading for a client
Write two chapters
Yoga

That would be happiness
