I've traveled from Bergen to Molde (Norway) today. Two hours of very rough seas - everything fell on the floor (except me). It's cold and we've had snow, sleet & hail, overcast, high winds, even occasional sight of the Sun. There are severe weather warnings out for much of the country today.

Currently, somewhere between Rørvik and Brønnøysund (west coast of Norway). Overcast, rainy, so I guess the temperature is a bit above freezing. We've crossed two rough stretches of open sea today - two hours each - but nothing like yesterday morning when the wind was up to 90 mph with some waves of over 35 feet. It was the edge of the storm Ole.

Hey Nancy,

It's overcast...I haven't been outside to see what the temp is but I'm sure that it's not sunny and 80 like I'd like it to be. smile

Jana,

Here it is cold. The sun is not helping it seems. Went out a little today and I walked fast to the car to the stores then to the house eek. There were barely any wind and wow was that wind cold so it could of been worst!

I hate winter. I gripe about it every year...I was born and raised here in the Midwest. I should've gotten used to it by now. But I don't remember hating it as a kid. What happened?

When you consider that there were glaciers crossing the continent in mid USA at one time eons ago, I would guess there is some global warming but it is probably a natural phenomenon.

Well, it sure wasn't the factories of the day that melted all the glaciers, Angie! And, today, people in the north of Europe and America who look outside their windows at the record amounts of snow and ice don't need any more proof of global cooling. Another website that carries the Global Cooling message is "Watts up with that?" - run by a man called Watts. You can find the site on Google, easily enough. He is scathing about the IPCC and what he regards as its false reporting. Well worth a look!
