Hi Francine ad all,

I loved your article about the German colloquialisms - had a laugh trying to sound German when reading the German!

You say:

And will not have to think "Da bin ich ueberfragt" - "I have been over asked" - Hmmm, now there you have got me!

Maybe it is a case of nagging? Or have you ever had to tell people/customers over and over again where something is (at a trade show for instance?)

Anyway, pity the person who has to say it.

In English, Da bin ich überfragt means "beats me!" or "I really, really don't know" (but I am really exasperated about it). his is one of my favorite little sayings in German and it made me chuckle too. ;-)
