Has anyone ever had the same dream twice? I know that some nights I really wish that I could, but I never have such luck.

I've had the same general dream many times. They tend to happen when I'm feeling a certain way. When I was young for example my parents would fight and I'd dream that my mom was standing at the door of the apartment and I could see this giant monster right next door. I'd yell and yell for her to watch out, but she would never hear me. The dream was always pretty much the same.

Sometimes in the dream I remember that I've done this before and I "know what's about to happen". Sometimes I even try to do different things to avoid an outcome but it doesn't usually work

The only time that I actually have the same dream twice is when working is stressing me out. When that happens, I dream that I'm at work. So, when I wake up in the morning to get ready for work, it feels like I've already been at work all night too. eek

Have you ever been dreaming and then suddenly jerk awake?..like you're falling off a cliff?? Everytime this has happened to me, I dreamt that I fell off the back of a cabbage wagon. Now what the heck is that all about!!

Isn't that awful? Back when I worked at a desk job, I had dreams that I had a really stressful day at work. Then I would wake up and I go, "Jeez, now I have to do it all over again!" It was very depressing.

A cabbage truck? I don't think I've ever even seen a truck full of cabagges! Did you live near a farm growing up? What sorts of memories do you have about it? Maybe this was a childhood fear of yours, of looking silly by falling off, and now it's a symbol to you of worrying about looking foolish ...

OK...that makes about as much sense as anything I ever came up with... ...I always remembered it as a small, flat wagon with sides but no back, and I was sitting on the backend. I never did have any idea of "what" was pulling the wagon, though. Now THAT little piece of information may have explained the dream...

I'm still curious how the thought 'cabbage truck' would even come to you, though. Have you seen one sometime? I've never even seen one!! And I never eat cabbage except on St Patty's day. Is Cabbage even a part of your life in the first place?

Ya know, I never gave this dream much thought until I started talking about it here...then I spent a couple days analyzing it.

When my brother and I were young, about 6-7 years old, we'd spend a week every summer on our aunts farm. They didn't grow crops, but had cows and horses and we'd ride on the back of the hay wagon. I never liked staying their because we'd have to drink milk right from the cows (tastes different then homogenized) and we'd sleep upstairs in separate rooms that I remember as being scary. So, maybe thats where the wagon comes in....

As for the cabbage...???...I've had this dream since I was young, so I don't think the cabbage represents money or anything. Maybe it represents something I was forced to eat and didn't like. That happened alot. My mother insisted we "try" it or sit at the table till we did. And to this day, I gag at the smell of green beans or broccoli. I never forced my kids to eat anything they didn't want and, as adults, they developed tastes for things they hated as kids.

So what do you think of this analysis??
