BellaOnline Forums Home and Garden Dogs How do you keep a dog from running away?

I have a dog that no matter how great he's treated here at home, he takes the first opportunity of an open door to run lke the wind away from the house. He has the best of everything here and is loved so much.
He looks so freeeeeeeeee when he runs with his ears flying and that happy smile on his face.
Is there something I can do to keep him safer?
