My facebook and twitter feeds were certainly buzzing after the finale of the Biggest Loser!! Did she go to far? That is kind of hard to answer. She certainly lost a drastic amount of weight. But I have a few things that bothered me about people calling her out on her weight loss. First, the men in the finale also lost drastic amount and nobody made comments about them having an eating disorder. Also, it was a competition! If I was in the running for $250,000 I know it would be hard to not push it to extremes. Lastly, she was judged for being unhealthy while being overweight and now she is being judged for being unhealthy because some are saying she is under weight. So whether or not she went too far, I was bummed about the public's reaction and comments about her.

What are your thoughts?

Hi Amy, thanks for your response. I wish I could have seen the final episode to give a better opinion, but I have only seen pictures of the final weigh-in. I will admit in some of the pictures she looked too thin.

I agree it is a competition and she did what she did for the money. I think it was only a matter of time before something like this happened or someone would take their weight loss too far. When you have a competition set up like this with the prize being a large sum of money; it pushes people to extreme measures to try to make sure they secure the win. I hope the show takes this into consideration for next season.

I think they need to have guidelines as to limits on the weight loss for the participants that are set according to their particular height, frame, body composition etc. and disqualify those who take their weight loss too far. This show should be about healthy weight loss and not just competing for a prize.
