I cleaned up my feeders and made some repairs to one of them. The perch had fallen off so, as I strolled through the garden shop, I found an American flag on a stick. The stick was perfect and It is now a perch. I'll use the flag for something else.

Anyway, I put sunflower seeds out, a fruit/berry mixture, and something that is supposed to attract woodpeckers. We'll see. Sor far it is the usual variety of visitors - nuthatches, titmouse, chickadees, and cardinals.

That sounds lovely! Yup my woodpeckers love suet, as do the nuthatches. I definitely recommend putting out a lot of suet <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Popcorn strings are a nice treat to put on the trees in your back yard <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Do you do your popcorn strings yourself? I'd probably eat it all before I could finish the strings.
