 There has been typhoon in the Philippines, thousands are dead and survivors are pleading for help.
This is a photo of some of them queuing for food and water, many having walked for hours to reach the help center.
We have an editor in the Philippines, not sure where but let's hope she is OK.
In Europe the immediate response not only from governments but also from 'the man in the street' has been unprecedented, but much more is necessary.
