I grabbed a good sunhat and a lined windbreaker for when I go running.
I recently picked up a handful of really pretty skirts for just dollars. I love my Goodwills!

Oh, I love thrift stores!
On my last visit I found a brand new silver tinsel Christmas wreath for $5 and a big stuffed Eeyore toy for $6. Eeyore is for me, so I suppose that was extravagent, but I love him and I did get a 10% discount for being a senior!

From the GoodWill I picked up a faux fleece lined sweater jacket for $3.00.
I love shopping the thrift stores.

I shop local thrift stores so I know I am supporting the local community. Today I shopped the store that is staffed for and by the local disabled adults group home. All framed art was $.50 so I picked up 2 frames - the art wasn't all that great, but the frames were a good buy. I also got 2 camo pillow cases for when my grandsons visit for $.25.
Tomorrow I will be shopping at the thrift store that supports the activities at the senior home. I'm looking for a storage/shelving unit that will fit in a broom closet.
I love thrift store browsing.

Thrift store browsing is the activity my mom and i enjoy sharing the most. Actually, my MIL and I too. I actually find it thrilling. Too bad that shopping has become a source of thrill, but there it is. I enjoy the animal shelter thrift stores the most, and try to donate to them first.

This week I found a sweet hooded windbreaker with a fuzzy inner lining at Goodwill. I also grabbed a few novels I've been wanting, and a sunhat.
Windbreaker - $6 Books - $1, $2, $2 nice sunhat - $4
I love this jacket!

Went to Goodwill yesterday but didn't buy anything. There were a few things I would have bought but I thought the prices were too high. I noticed a lot of small items that had printed 99cent stickers on, and someone had used a marker pen to add one dollar to the price. These were things like plastic kitchen utensils. Do they forget that it's pre-owned, pre-used stuff they're selling? I could go to Dollar Tree and get a brand new plastic serving spoon! Other items had been increased too; for instance a plain white serving dish had gone from $4.99 to $9.99. I would have paid the lower price but not the higher one.
Had to have a rant about that!

I can't say that I've noticed the prices re-marked on the same sticker, but I have noticed how the prices have increased at our local Goodwill. My most common purchase at any thrift store is books. And Goodwill is now charging prices that compete with Half-Prices stores.
I went to the local thrift store last week and bought 6 pair of adult blue jeans, as well as several pairs of pajamas, about 20 tops and 6 leggings/pants for grade schoolers all for $6. They were having a bag sale. Everything I could get into a bag for $3, so I bought 2. One of my sons is going through a rough time, so I did what I could do for the winter wardrobe of his kids.

Went to a Community Resource Center thrift store today and got a pretty cereal bowl, four china saucers for the cat and two hardback books, all for $3.50.
