have any tips on beating nemisis?... or anyone, gerb, lisa, jess?.... cause its the last character i have to beat, and its killin me having a monster in the game that i cant kill... i mean he is 10,000,000 hp, uses attacks that do 99,999 damage to the whole party RANDOMLY, then when you use auto life and come back with 9,999 hp on all three, he will do it again... um yea it especially sucks when you were fighting him for a FULL 45 MINUTES and that happens, i mean you know how much of the game you can complete in 45 minutes, a battle lasting an hour is just nuts by itslef, so if anyone has got some tips send em my way...

use blitzace/attack wheels/ and ur aeons overdrives to damage him and have 1 of your party members cast auto-life all the time... just put ur overdrive mode on the damage thingy and ur overdrive will go up fast enough to use tidus' blitzace and wakka's attack wheels again and again...

bergarde u are wrong, dont use overdrives because that provokes it to wipe out your party. just keep hitin wit everythin u got ive beatin it and was satisfying knowing i know it. have u beat dark Yoyimbo and Penance they are hard.

Also use quick hit every turn for anyone that knows it. You'll get more turns and Nemesis will get less.
Don't forget your auto-life (at least one person at all times). And dispel if one of your characters gets that annoying power break thrown on them.

no see 4 out of 7 characters are maxed out on the sphere grid hitting at a consecutive 99,999 damage each turn, the other three are atleast 75% done but they know all the important abilities (good ol master spheres) i know to use quick hit and all that stuff, you missed the part when i said you will have auto haste on all three characters he will use an attack to whipe them all out (and yes i have more than 20,000 HP on them all), so after he whipes you out the three come back with 9,999 HP each, then he gets a second turn in a row (sh*tty) and does the same attack..... yea cant do anything about that... all 7 characters have this on their armor:
-break hp limit -auto haste (kicks butt when combined with quick hit) -auto phoenix (just incase everyone but one dies without auto life) -HP + 30%
now knowing that.......help?

okay I've tried to defeat him again and I used the nemesis faq on gamefaqs.com and it's even better than the overdrive way I tried if this ain't workin' I got nothing else... so here it is
Strategy: First of all, you don't need high HP or even Auto-Life to defeat Nemesis, all you'll need is to be able to hit for 99,999 damage, and an agility stat of at least 170 to pull this off in a reasonable amount of time - 220+ is ideal. If you don't, stop reading this strategy right now and go slaughter Fenrir until you do. ...Done? Good. Nemesis counters Overdrives, but nothing else. Using whomever you like, cast Hastega at the beginning of the battle. Use Quick Hit until Nemesis' turn comes up, and swap someone out for Yuna, who will immediately summon an Aeon to act as a sacrificial lamb. (If you're already using Yuna as one of your three characters, even better.) One hit from Nemesis will probably kill your Aeon, but this is okay, because doing so will bring the turn to move back to you, even if Nemesis had two or more turns in a row after your Aeon! At 220+ agility, you should be getting 18-20 Quick Hits between each of Nemesis' turns. Seven dead Aeons later, Nemesis will turn into pyreflies and that sweet "Overkill" will appear on your television. Congratulations, you've just beaten the "hardest" boss in Final Fantasy X. The moral of the story is, HP size doesn't matter, it's the motion of the Quick Hit ocean. I'm not claiming this is the end-all be-all strategy for defeating Nemesis, but it IS the only way that's worked consistently for me. Best of luck to you!
