I am at the entrance of the tomb in Blacklake and I have the ceremonial dagger, but the door won't open.
when I right click the dagger the only options that come up are "Examine" and "Drop" ... there is NO "Use" option. How can I use the dagger to open the door? I have gathered lots of keys that seem to be able to open doors, but they don't ... why can't I get the keys to work? Thanks!

You might want to check out the NWN walkthrough. In Blacklake the riddle, "a splinter delivered in flight," refers to an arrow. Stick the Ceremonial Arrow in the chest nearby to get past the door.

As for keys and doors, if you have the key needed for a door in your inventory, the door will open. The key is used automatically and stays in your inventory. If you don't have the right key, the door won't budge.

Yep. Open the chest, put the item in like you put things into your magic bags and you're gold.
