My sandwich du jour will be an open-face butter and peanut butter - it is my all time fav and what my mom packed in my lunch box. My grand daughter, 13, was visiting this summer and for lunch she asked for the peanut butter and butter sandwich - must be in the genes.

That is also one of my husband's favorites. I have to many years of Weight Watchers conditioning to be able to enjoy butter and peanut butter together. I am sure that it tastes lovely!

For breakfast, I had a small meatloaf sandwich with mayo and mustard on multi-grain bread.

Today I had an open face Colby-Jack with Pepperjack (lots of jack here) cheese with mayo on sprouted grain bread. It was good. Of course, I also had my crunchy Jif and organic grape jelly.

The sandwich du jour is a tostada made with a tortilla shell, refried beans, cheese, pickled jalapeno, and salsa. Easy to do in the microwave at work.

Lately when I need a quick meal on the go I have been having a half sandwich of 12 grain bread with peanut butter.

Tonight we got our brisket. Costco had prime brisket for less than $3 a pound. I bought it and my sister cooked it. Yum, yum! Brisket sandwiches tomorrow!

I'm having a brisket sandwich for breakfast. How decadent is that?

Today I will be having a sandwich consisting of sliced rotisserie chicken on 12 grain bread with mayo and a lot of black pepper.
