The Godless?
The Objectivists?
The Nonconformists?
The Nihilists?
The Doubting Thomases?

It's hard to top "The Ungodlies." wink That's priceless.

Going by nicknames and ideologies only, I'd be in deep moral conflict as to who to root for if the two competing schools were the Doubting Thomases and the Non-Praying Mantises.

On the other hand, I would experience no angst in determining which team that I would naturally and selectively root for in a game for the ages between the bitter rivals of the Charles Darwin High School and the New Creations Bible Academy.

With the Darwin HS's Fittest Survivors pitted against the NCBA's Laying on of Handers, certainly the team that had evolved the most would emerge victorious despite having to endure a constant barrage of fever-pitched shouted proselytizing from the losing team's zealous supporters.

Nature is a Wonder

Nature is a wonder.
As for its source,
Wondering is human nature.

Rhyme in Pursuit of a Reason

When pondering the origin of God
Some may be awed,
While others may applaud,
Or even burst out in a laude
For the God that they fervently laud.
Yet, the vast minority will think flawed,
Or worse still, a universal fraud.

If one definition for delusion is an erroneous belief that is held in the face of evidence to the contrary and one for illusion is something that deceives by producing a false or misleading impression of reality, then am I deluded in having the illusional belief that lusion is really a word even though it does not appear in any dictionaries?

Or am I just lusion my mind?...

As in, can contrecoup contusions lead to delusions and illusions or am I just in a perpetual state of confusion?

Favorite quotes about Delusion:

"For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring." - Carl Sagan

"Irrational beliefs are culturally accepted delusions." - Robert Todd Carroll

"We're under some gross misconception that we're a good species, going somewhere important, and that at the last minute we'll correct our errors and God will smile on us. It's delusion." - Farley Mowat

"Not creating delusions is enlightenment." - Bodhidharma

"There is a self-satisfied dogmatism with which mankind at each period of its history cherishes the delusion of the finality of existing modes of knowledge." - Alfred North Whitehead

"Better a cruel truth than a comfortable delusion." - Edward Abbey

"The belief that one's own view of reality is the only
reality is the most dangerous of all delusions." - Paul Watzlawick

"The final delusion is the belief that one has lost all delusions." - Maurice Chapelain

“One cannot properly appreciate the human realities so long as one labors under the adolescent delusion that people get the fates they deserve” - Nicholas Rescher

"Delusions of grandeur make me feel a lot better about myself." - Jane Wagner

“Self-delusion is pulling in your stomach when you step on the scales” - Paul Sweeney

Nature Being Nature

Multitudes faithfully believe that all in nature is God.
Yet, no thanks for all that wonder should be bestowed upon any lawd,
As the cause of all that ubiquitous earthly rapture,
Is evolving nature merely being blessed nature.

FALSE PROPHET: An oxymoron of Biblical proportions.

Perhaps that is why the powers to be did not create the expression TRUE CHARLATAN as that not only would have been an oxymoron but a redundancy as well!

I really wish that instead of having a hit song which became the anthem for many sports teams, the group Journey had written and recorded a song titled Don't Start Believin'. I wonder what the lyrics would have been?

One verse perhaps could have been, "there aint no literal heaven or hell, just Detroit, so don't start believin'."

What lyrics would you come up with to produce what could be an A/A anthem?

On second RT, another potential A/A Anthem for those with a Country Western inclination could be "I Wasn't Born Again Yesterday."
