I think the path through Judaism is never ending - no matter who you are! I have several friends who converted to Judaism. There are so many pathways into Judaism as well! (And, I think each of them come with a unique set of challenges)
Though I am a Jew by birth - I often think about going through the conversion process because I feel you learn so much! Often times more than your Jewish counterparts who grew up in Jewish homes.
I would encourage you to ask all the questions, keep a journal to record your process, and connect wherever you can!
