Great way to do a back drop as you mentioned. Unfortunately, we don't have access to a plotter!

I am in love with my plotter. It took me awhile to convince my boss that I needed one. But it has really increased the quality of what we can do in-house. I rarely used color or large prints before because it was so expensive to have them done. It is much less per printing to do it yourself. Mine was refurbished, so it was a little bit cheaper. I make all the posters for the building on it too, in addition to exhibits. It's well worth the investment!

Just a quick update -- I just heard from the manufacturer of PhotoTex and they told me about another product that was just introduced called PhotoTex OPA. It is opaque, which can reduce some of the texture and pattern bleed issues I mentioned in my review. I went back and updated the article with this new information, noting that I had not yet tested this product. But I'm super excited about it, because that was my main concern with this paper! I'm just really thrilled about it. What an exciting new development in exhibition design!
