Scheduling of work helps a lot but it must be made accordingly so that there is no disturbance because of work pressure. Proper co-ordination with subordinates must be done for performing better at the job.
I do agree that scheduling out work tasks helps to ensure they get them done. I'm not sure how one can avoid work pressure, except in the sense that if one has a plan, at least one feels that they are sort of in control of the process.
Work pressure is always there .

Scheduling and lists are an absolute must. Also I would add that routines are a key component to handling work pressures. If I have a report that is due on say the 4th day of each month, you know when I start preparing for the following month’s report? On the 5th day of the month. So then I have the whole 29 days to prepare it instead of waiting until a week before it’s due.
I try to routinize as much as possible. The thing I like about routines is you don’t have to write them down as they are a part of your life. For example, I don’t have to write “get up at 6 am†because it’s already part of my daily routine.
