Have you talked about your child's giftedness with him or her? Our kids know that their brains function differently than that of most of their peers. We've talked about how they learn more quickly and more deeply. We have not told them that they learn "better" than anyone else, just differently. Because of this, they understand when we need to make changes in their education plans or they feel a little better when they realize they're not quite like their peers. How do you handle this with your gifted child?
