At the very end of Day Six I began my "transition period" to slowly move me back into my normal diet. I want to do this little piece at a time so I can see how each new ingredient affects me. A part of doing a juice fast is to then see how introducing items back into your system affects you.
Saturday night Bob made me a low carb flatbread pizza. I.e. a low carb wrap with tomato, cheese, sausage, and fresh basil. It was quite tasty. I also got phlegmy though. I have been fine all week so it was clearly from the pizza.
I have always suspected that I had developed, as I aged, a mild intolerance to dairy products. It's a fairly common thing to happen to people. This test seems to make it clear. It's good to know. I should have cheese in moderation.
So this was a good thing to learn!
