My mom dreamed of a coffin last night and she would love to know what that means. When she saw it the coffin was close to the hole ready to be put there. The hole was bigger than what they normally are. The color of the coffin was dark. She had the impression that she was the one in the coffin and she wanted to help in getting the coffin in the ground.

My mom told me that she dreamed that you explained to her what that meant in a dream last night (she does not recall a part of what you said), I won't say it now (what she remembers) until you told me what you think, we'll see if that match :-/ haha.

That's funny about your mother dreaming that I explained to her what this dream meant last night because I did read this thread yesterday but wanted to mull it over for surety. When I believed that I knew what this dream indicated, I didn't have the chance to return to the forum because my family went out last night.

The coffin as a dream symbol can represent many things. That can be said of every dream symbol which is why some dream psychoanalysts like Carl Jung dislike dream dictionaries. You just can't have a single meaning for one dream symbol. Context and the dreamer's life history both influence the symbolism.

But with that said and going on the surface description of your mother's dream, it appears that she is preparing to bury some issues in her life. Perhaps there are parts of herself, her past or even her part in whatever life challenges she or her family is facing. And she would like to put them to rest.

And she would like some help in doing so. If there is an opportunity to forgive and forget, please help her by not dredging up old wounds or past infractions she may have committed against you. It is time to bury old resentments and hurts.

This was not what you said in her last dream

She still does not recall what you first said. The only thing she remembers is the end where you say to someone (she thinks it was me) to put a flower (a daisy [she thinks]..it was very big) on her right arm. Then she woke up. During that dream she was in the hole in the ground and she was waiting for the coffin ready to grab it.

She knows that it was you explaining that and she is almost 100% certain that it was me the person you explained that to.

When she woke up she was looking at her arm and she did see the flower, it was yellow and white and very big.

Ah. No then. It was not any sort of my actual being who was there in her dream.

It was just a reflection of some aspect of me as she perceives me. Just another dream symbol.

Putting a daisy upon her right arm signifies that it is the "right" thing to do, to begin afresh with hope.

My mom wants me to thank you for helping her with her dream.

Oh, please tell her that she is more than welcome.

Let her know that not all dreams are psychic connections or astral travel and such. But they are reflections of what is going on in one's own self so they offer helpful information.
