I've been writing an adventure using this method off and on for the past couple of weeks. Not that it's the first time I've used it, of course :P
What works best for you? When you go to the drawing board for plot twists to throw at your players, how do you "draw?" Or if you're a player, what was the most memorable adventure hook you've ever gotten? How did your character take to it?
