Any tips on how to beat this guy??? I've been using the tips listed in the Official Guide and I still can't beat Seymour.

Ah, so you're not the only one having problems with this guy. It took me about 20 times just to defeat this guy because of Cross Cleave & his s2pid Total Annihilation. Here's my tip, If you've got Yojimbo, you Grand Summon him and pay him big enough (about 60 000 Gil) so that he could do Zanmato w/c could kill him instantly. If you don't have him yet the only thing you could do to protect yourself is to cast Protect to your allies and Hastega to take more turns. Cast Dispel if Seymour casts Reflect and Protect on himself. Cast Bio so that his HP will drop everytime it's his turn. Repeat the process (Protect and Hastega) if he cast Dispel on you. You may sacrifice an aeon if you want. Be sure the aeons are in overdrive because if not, Seymour will kill them in a flash. Good Luck!!

assuming all your aeons are in overdrive.....

Cast hastega, and for the love of god put the protect spell on as many folks as possible. sure he'll just dispel it eventually, but i'd rather take 1000 from a crosscleave as opposed to 2500. When he starts charging for the total annihilation attack, keep wacking the chariot because this can delay the TA attack somewhat.

also keep in mind, seymour is not immune to silence. just wittle him down to 25/30k hp, and unleash Bahamut's mega flare.
