Alright, I'm having a problem with FF8.
I just started Disc 2 and I'm in The Galbadia D-District Prison.
On Floor 10 there's a guy who doesn't do anything if u talk to him.
Well his exact reply is this if i talk to him: "....."
So I looked in the walkthrough, and it says I can do Card Battle with him to upgrade my battle meter.
But even if I push Square when standing next to him, he just says the same and nothing happens.
Do I have to do something else before I can play cards with this guy?

I never played cards in the prison lol so I have no clue u dont need 2 play cards there tho

let me have a look what i did-theres a couple of guys to play with+one of them gives u a rosetta stone if u play with him 4 ages!!

ok-this guy is pretty useless anyway.he gives u character reports or sumthing and only if u pay 300 gil to play and win!i don't know why he won't play cards, but i think i remember him doing the same thing to me a couple of times.try him after each stage of the prison bit-u know, whwnever u can go chek him.it may be that u can only do it after or before a certain period. <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

the other guys are on 5+11.I think the guy that charges 500 gil and on 5 is the guy who'll give u the rosetta stone.+don't nobody say he doesn't coz i done it!!! <img src="/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
