I waited a few years to get my first tattoo - I had even held out while dating a tattoo artist. Then I got my first...which went so well that I quickly got several more (it is kind of addictive). BUT, the "freak forever" mentality of my early twenties changed, and twenty years later, I wish I had never gotten them. A dermatologist quoted me $5,000 to get rid of only some of them, and said that treatments would take about a year (I may still do this). If you opt to get one, it's probably wise to get one where it won't show in work appropriate clothing - collar, upper chest, lower arms and legs. My two cents! Best wishes.
