Has anyone tried the watercolor technique with their rubber stamps?

I'm thinking of the technique where you use your water-based markers, color the rubber stamp, spritz the stamp lightly with water and then stamp the image on paper.

Another way to do this is to spritz the water onto watercolor paper, huff on the stamp to activate the ink and then stamp on the damp paper.

Sandra, I introduced my grandson to stamping this week. It is a great activity for him. I need to get some additional stamp pads and stamps. I tried using a marker today and showed him how to paint the stamp and then use it. The only stamps I have include a train and 3 Cars.
