I'm one of quite a few individuals who are missing all of their friends and the photos in Facebook right now. Hope the problem resolves itself.

Some individuals have reporting being able to see their friends on their mobile device. Some have said they come back and disappear again.

I'm crossing my fingers I haven't lost everybody.

As the editor of Blogs and Social Networking I can't tell you how much I'm worried about losing my contacts forever.

Vi,
Glad it has not been my imagination. I've noticed it has been acting weird, like yesterday all of my recent newsfeeds disappeared. Things I knew were there, no longer were and the most recent newsfeed it would show was from two days before.

Pictures disappeared and at times the entire site would not load.

Fortunately I didn't notce any contacts missing.

I haven't noticed anything on my Facebook page. Hope it's just a temporary glitch that they worked out.

I was trying to get online to my Chase account today to check on a credit card amount and none of the Chase sites would load either.

Definitely this is a good reminder to back everything up. That way if something disastrous happens you don't have to rebuild completely from scratch.
