Hi there I have problem in ff8 I have finish 10 and 7 plus 9 I am currently playing ff8 and I have troble getting the gf Eden cuz I can't run away from monster at the underground to the route to reach Ultima weapon any 1 can tell me a trick to go fight Ultima weapon without battling those monster's plz they strong but lion heart stills kills them but I dun wanna waste time and die at the last part my no encounter's is not working dammm some1 help me find a way to get there dun worry bout the 6 lvl I got all the way down and than I have to fight down the crystal passage way.

ok-the no encounters doesn't work down there 4 sum reason(stupid thing)so ur just gonna have to battle ur way thro!there is a secret save point at the bottom tho-where the large terminal is.to find it u need to have sirens 'move-find' ability junctioned.
<img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> when i fought ultima i had either some heros or holy wars which leave u completely invincible!!U can get these by changing lagunas card or gilgamesh card!give me a sec+i'll look at what else i've done to defeat him.....

as far as i remember he doesn't like ice very much-cast shiva.doomtrain+cactaur is also useful, but if like me u don't like using gfs=cast haste or junction autohaste, draw+cast regen+cast aura to give those wonderful limit breaks!!Meltdown can also be effective against him!just keep going, but if u having problems use either gfs or heros/holywars (or both!!!).Gud luk! <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Eh he wasn't that bad. First off, Dark is right, there is a hidden save point right nex tto where you fight him. So definitely have Sirens revealing ability junctioned.

He is weak against Ice, he will absorb fire attacks, so make sure you don't have fire on your weapon junctino. Summon Doomtrain or cast Meltdown on him right away, this will reduce his defenses and make your stuff have a bigger punch. either cast triple or use cerberus, so that your magic user can heal everyone at once. Use Aura on Squall, and then you can unload constant limit breaks on him. I got squall to do three lionhearts in a row, took him out pretty quick. Oh, make sure that you cast haste on everyone. first of all, i think one of your GF, probably diablo has an ability to keep you from running in monster, don't remember what is was though but yous should be able to find it. if the thing doesn't work down there then the only way is to fight.... i'm not sure but i think i was able to run away cos i never had any trouble fighting with monster when i played, i was pretty much in control of whom i wanna fight with. but if the thing doesn't work then you jsut gotta fight yourself..... use a lot of GF (good thing about ff8 is that you don't have to wait for the gf get beaten up to use the overdrive and you can always revive your Gf after the battle so you shouldn't ahve any trouble with that. after get to eden, if you have siren's ability to find, you probably can find the saving point, if you don't it's just right next to the machine (as far as i remember, you gotta search some kinda machine thing to get eden appear, the save point is just right next to it, keep pressing x around the place, you should be able to find it.)
what else? oh, when you fight eden, the beast has some really nasty attack so you wanna make sure that you hero (get 100 heroes from one of the character cards, not sure which one )if you have the guide book, they probably tell you to convert the hero into 10 other thingy, don't do that just keep them as heroes, you should be find. use heros on your character to keep them invisible..... the smartest character choice in for the battle should be squall, rinoa, and zell ( zell is optional ) but you definitely need squall for the limit break and riona for her doggie, the dog is very useful in the battle, make sure you have squall and riona use limit break a lot by casting auron on them. bye the way, don't forget to cast the spell on them before using heros otherwise, it'll be in vain. one more thing, use heros wisely, you still need them for fight omega and the final boss, make sure you don't use more than 30 heroes. (i myself used somewhere like 40 or more cos waste them on other non boss monster that's why i didn't fight omega) well, i guess that's all you should be fine with the strategy.... good luck

once more thing, use doomtrain to attack eden for only one time at the beginnin of the battle.. then do not ever summon him again cos doomtrain will eventually heal the boss, you don't want your effort goes in vain
