We originally assumed my 4 year old would be starting school this year as prek because he is 16 days past the cut off for kindergarden in my state however my at home situation has changed and he is now starting a private school which will allow him to start in kindergarden. Having said this, I have been downloading lots of homeschool kindergarden material as well as I ordered Teach Your Child How to Read in 100 Lessons today. I figure if we work hard with him at home, it will be a little easier for him in school because he will technically be behind the kids that went to prek at the private school last year. Does anyone else have any ideas on a great source of kindergarden homeschool material? He especially struggles with writing letters and shapes.

As a side note, I have previous experience with homeschooling my older kids for a few years but I used a set curriculum and it was easier because they were older. Thanks so much.

Home schooling is definitely the way to go. Public schools are mostly rubbish--nothing but glorified day care.
