The desire of being loved is more than to love. The one who loves anyone has unconscious desire to be loved by that person. If you love or care for someone you automatically expect something in return. Unconditional love is difficult to give.

botox injections-

That is a thought to ponder. It is possible though to love someone and not to expect something in return. You might hope that they will be happy, but you do not expect it.

I think the kind of love you are speaking of is the kind of love shared in a "sexual" relationship. This kind of love is really more of adoration, attention, and as Don Miguel Ruiz defines it, "control and manipulation".

Unconditional love is extremely difficult to grasp because we have been conditioned to believe that love is so many other things that it is not. Unconditional love exists when you simply want the best for someone, even if that means you are to be removed from their life. It is the love that you have for someone even if it means wishing them well in death. It is a freedom of sorts.

Unconditional love is accepting others in all of their glory, understanding that their path is not your path and you have simply been blessed enough to share in a small part of that.

Unconditional starts within. First, you love yourself unconditionally and then you are able to see everyone else without judgement.

I have only experienced this in fleeting moments and small time framed-doses. These days, I work really hard at it. When it is in alignment, it is amazing.

Practice, practice, practice. I pray that within this year I master it.

Jilly-

It is the love that you have for nature or the love that you believe nature has for you.

Unconditional Love is very difficult. In fact, I think it comes in fleeting moments. We have unconditional love for our children and maybe our pets. But to hold it for others is very, very, trying.

That said, unconditional love is available for each person. You can unconditionally love yourself.

Waiting for unconditional love to come from outside of you can run you raggedy.

Start a love affair with yourself. Not an arrogance fest, but a true, unconditional loving relationship with you. I promise you will begin to whip yourself into the best whole health shape you have ever been in.

Hi Yvonnie:

That word "unconditional" has many ways of being understood.

With me, I have to be careful to stay in the middle. What do I mean?

Unconditional in the healthy way means not looking for others to love you. Being secure within yourself.

The unhealthy one (the one my ex liked to throw in my face/lol) = letting him treat me whatever way he felt like.

I am hoping to break this "cycle" with my own daughter as it has been an ongoing thing in my family starting with my mother. Unfortunately I have never had a relationship with her and to this day have no idea why she stayed. If my dad had not died in a car accident while driving home from work drunk (guess he had a bottle stashed in his desk/lol) - she probably would still be with him or dead.

Anyway, just wanted to say how much your persistence in continuing to post in this forum in spite of some inactivity is much appreciated.

I am doing the same in the unemployment forum which needs an editor. Yes, it is very inactive, but my heart is there for personal reasons. My own personal walk since being laid off for the 3rd time in 2008 in my 50's. When they find another editor - I will make my exit = respect always!!! And no, as I have told others - have no desire to be an editor again for this site. Don't have the time and it is not me. Love being able to come and go as I feel like. Yes, Angela is finally realizing what life is all about - finding that part that is so YOU!!! In June of this year I found ME for the first time in 54 years. What a relief indeed smile
