I have attached a photo of a wire cuff bracelet I got at a Good Will for 25 cents about 4 years ago. Since then I have been (off and on!) trying to duplicate this weave or braid, without success. I cannot accept failure, apparently!

Have you seen anything like this before? The wire is very stiff, so there must be a method. Not that this is not a French braid of any kind since at no time does a strand from the left appear on the right. This is a 6-strand weave. So in other words, if you have alternating blue and green loops on the left - these colors will never appear on the right of the bracelet. Two DNA-like strands hold together the 2 loop sections on the left; and the two loop sections on the right.

To simplify, I ignore the loops altogether, because they are not relevant to the process. I ignore the beads.

I have tried with pipe cleaners, colored wire, paper cut-outs, stood on my head, and still can't figure out how this was made!!

Anyone out there have some idea so that I can let this subject rest, and maybe make some more beautiful wire jewelry just like this one?

What a gorgeous cuff. I found this, and it looks like the center weave of your cuff. If you pulled up and made loops at the top and bottom, would it be the same type of pattern?

Connie - wow you solved it for me!! It is the croc weave, I purchased the tutorial and I've duplicated the bracelet, beads and all. Thank you so much!!!

Very cool looking! Is it made on a jig, or is it just bent with appropriate pliers? Would love to know how this is put together!
