Yes, you can do much more with Flash than you can with HTML5, for now. But I don't believe it has to be Flash vs HTML5. I think that each method of animation has it uses.
However, there is the problem of Flash not being able to play on iOS devices. We'll have to wait and see how that plays out in the future.
