I always have a routine when I check into a hotel room. I check under the bed (unless it's a pedestal), I check the bedding, the bathroom, the drawers and the closets.

I guess just to make sure there is nothing lurking anywhere. Am I paranoid or does anyone else do this too?

I yank off the duvets. They never wash those and i don't want to really touch them.

What do you think would be lurking? People? Bugs? Curious as to what you mean.

LOL...bugs and critters... One time my folks checked into a hotel on the ground floor and there was a little lizard thing under the bed...

Lizards are your friends! They eat the bugs.

Flight attendants I've talked with have told me that they check in the closet, in the shower, behind the curtains and underneath the beds for lurkers. I do all of this except look under the bed. I also skip using the comforter and look at the sheets for critters before getting into bed.
