I married my hubby 1 1/2 yrs ago, he has 2 sons and I have 2 daughters. His oldest son is 20, flunked out of college and is now living with us for the summer until he goes back to the college town to live with some friends. He has been home for 3 weeks and its been a nightmare. Before I moved in this house was the bachelor pad, the boys did whatever they wanted with little to no disapline from my hubby. they would have parties, and play music all night. there is a band room in our basement and when SS moved back in I told him, no loud music after 8pm. he had a fit about it but has been complying. 3 days ago my hubby found a backpack lying by our backdoor. when we opened it, it was full of marijuana and drug pipes. We questioned my SS and he said it wasnt his and didnt know who it belonged too. My husband disposed of the backpack and its contents. I wanted to call the police, but my hubby said if we do that the boys would get in trouble and our house would be deemed a "drug house" by the police. We are good law abiding citizens and I dont want this [censored] in my house. My husband has washed his hands of the whole situation, no punishment or anything. I think one of my SS friends left the backpack at our house. I dont want his friends at my house anymore. My hubby and I are fighting bigtime over this and Im even considering moving in with my parents for awhile. My SS has a bad temper and got mad one time and punched a hole in the wall. Im afraid to say anything to him because Im afraid he will get violent. Ive talked to my husband several times and he agrees with me, then he turns around and agrees with his son. I dont know what to do, should I leave or stay?
