Jus is right, TishMarie. I look at my kids...well, adult kids now and can hardly believe the time went by so fast. They are now awesome parents and I am a grandmother. This is now my time to soar and explore to find my self and look within. The last several years I have grown so much spiritually by following my spiritual path.

Kids are great and give us so much. The time will come, before you know it, when you are focusing more on yourself and your own interests. You seem to be doing quite well now in reaching for your goals for yourself. smile

I'm with Jus and Phyllis on this one smile

While your kids are young is the time to develop and broaden your skills base for when the adventurous phase of your life comes along. Things such as knowing first aid, being able to read a map and use a compass, meditate, train in a martial art right for you, and be proficient in memory systems - which you can also teach to your kids to help them learn efficiently, give you a real advantage in any adventure you end up in. smile

i agree, i have taught myself how to read a compass and map, i have a survival bag if that tells u anything lol it has a small atlas, local map, compass/wistle/thermometer combo, hunting knife, flint fire starter, lantern and alot more survival gear, it is very important to me for me and my kids to learn how to live off the land also, knowing which berries, plants, flowers etc. are edible and which arent, stuff like that, im very into a few select conspiracy theories also though, i believe a few things will happen so i prepare for the worst but live for the best.:)my whole life ive always believed its better to be prepared than end up s*** creek with a broken paddle.;) but i teach my kids all my hobbies, cooking, sewing, hunting, responsiblity by taking care of animals, education and fitness are important in my home, that came from my fibromyalgia and trying to deal with it i wanted all of us to be healthier. anyway i do know it goes by super fast, seems like yesterday i was giving birth to my twins, and my oldest is 8, i was 15 when i got pregnant with her so i know 8 years goes in a blink of an eye, shes already acting like a teen, lol her and her sister fight like crazy, all kinds of drama already. i cherish every day i have with them cause i know it could all be taken away too. They are my world and although im kinda strict and over protective at times i just want them to be happy, healthy and become all around wonderful adults when they grow up, i look at it like im helping mold my kids into who they will be as an adult so i do my best to make happy memories and lessons that will last their whole lives.:)

i wasnt accepted for the "Wicca editor" here :'( cause my sample article was too much about herbs instead of wicca, but i didnt realize the sample one had to be about wicca i thought it could be a subtopic, i already had one written up on Chamomile for my other site so i used it but changed it up a little, added more to it and made it better. if i Knew then i woulda made it all about wicca but i thought itd be okay since it was just a sample article. :( i was a little crushed cause i thought for sure id get it, that was some of my best writing. but its k i still enjoy the forums and ill just work more on my site instead. but my day has been kinda [censored] cause i was so excited about it and had written like 15 articles on wicca for when i get started id be ahead.:( lol maybe i shoulda waited to see instead of putting so much effort into it before i even got it. I always try to put 110% into everything i do though. Just thought id let yall know but im sure the new editor will be great:)

TishMarie, It might just be a blessing that you weren't chosen for the editor job. You certainly sound like you could do a perfect and magical job of directing the flow on here but maybe being slightly "behind" the scenes on this forum as well as other spirituality-herbal, healing forums will have a more profound impact. It could be that being on the front lines sometimes distracts us from a more desired benefit for ourselves and others. Blessed Be
