i agree, i have taught myself how to read a compass and map, i have a survival bag if that tells u anything lol it has a small atlas, local map, compass/wistle/thermometer combo, hunting knife, flint fire starter, lantern and alot more survival gear, it is very important to me for me and my kids to learn how to live off the land also, knowing which berries, plants, flowers etc. are edible and which arent, stuff like that, im very into a few select conspiracy theories also though, i believe a few things will happen so i prepare for the worst but live for the best.:)my whole life ive always believed its better to be prepared than end up s*** creek with a broken paddle.;) but i teach my kids all my hobbies, cooking, sewing, hunting, responsiblity by taking care of animals, education and fitness are important in my home, that came from my fibromyalgia and trying to deal with it i wanted all of us to be healthier. anyway i do know it goes by super fast, seems like yesterday i was giving birth to my twins, and my oldest is 8, i was 15 when i got pregnant with her so i know 8 years goes in a blink of an eye, shes already acting like a teen, lol her and her sister fight like crazy, all kinds of drama already. i cherish every day i have with them cause i know it could all be taken away too. They are my world and although im kinda strict and over protective at times i just want them to be happy, healthy and become all around wonderful adults when they grow up, i look at it like im helping mold my kids into who they will be as an adult so i do my best to make happy memories and lessons that will last their whole lives.:)
